Throughout my career, I have sold equipment on behalf of more than a dozen leading manufacturers in the Film & TV industry, representing products of the highest engineering calibre. My sales experience spans new and used equipment, from small transactions to large-scale international deals, often involving complex logistics, legal considerations, and strategic procurement.

 

I have sold and supported equipment across the UK, EMEA, North America, LATAM, APAC, Australia, and New Zealand, often acting as an agent/intermediary and technical advisor. My focus has always been on quality, long-term relationships, and delivering solutions that align with the demands of clients worldwide.

  • $2.8M Motion Control & Optics Sale: Successfully advised a leading SFX company on a complex sale of motion control equipment, cameras, and lenses to a high-profile studio project in China; total value $2.8M.

 

  • Sydney Olympics Equipment Win: Secured a £155K production equipment contract for the Sydney Olympics, managing international logistics and coordinating export arrangements to Australia.

 

  • Resolved a Complex $250K International Deal: Appointed as agent for an international client in a $250K specialist equipment transaction involving both acquisition and resale. When the original U.S. supplier—operating under Chapter 11 restrictions—breached a court order governing asset sales, I identified an alternative supplier, negotiated comparable terms, and completed the transaction independently. The outcome preserved the deal, safeguarded the client’s position, and bypassed the non-compliant vendor without disruption.

 

  • £1M+ in U.S. Procurement & Disposals: Successfully negotiated over £1M of technology procurement and disposals for VFG in the U.S. marketplace. Sourced and evaluated high-value motion picture equipment through supplier outreach and in-person scouting during business visits to Los Angeles, assessing suitability on-site. Negotiated purchase and sale terms, accepted long-lease equipment from U.S. suppliers on behalf of VFG, and built trusted industry relationships that generated exclusive equipment offers.

 

  • Strategic Tariff Classification & Cost Reduction: Applied in-depth knowledge of the Harmonized Commodity Description and Coding System (HS Codes) to optimise international tariff handling. Provided internal and supplier-side recommendations to ensure correct application of equipment categories and sub-categories, avoiding default industry classifications and standardising customs paperwork. This approach delivered consistent cost savings of up to 14%.
