The original oil for the Elemack Spyder was Shell Tellus T37 – This oil is no longer manufactured by Shell. The last known equivalent I used, was Fuchs Renolin B11 VG37 which has the same viscosity. Some people have been known to use break fluids and a variety of other unsuitable hydraulic oils. These can cause deterioration of the seals; while lighter viscosities will also find their way around and past the seals, whether or not they are blown. The Hydraulic oil for the Elemack Cricket Dolly is different to that of the Spyder and is specified as Mobil DTE 26.
